425 éves a Vizsolyi Biblia, az első teljes magyar nyelvű biblia-fordítás.
A Magyar Nemzeti Bank az évforduló alkalmából három címletben, kétféle arany és egy színesfém emlékérmét bocsátott ki.
Az érme tervezője Horváth Andrea, aki az érme előlapján a vizsolyi református templomot, a hátoldalon pedig egy ’V’ betű iniciáléját ábrázolta, a Vizsolyi Biblia stílusában.
A nyomtatás helyéről Vizsolyi, a fordítást irányító gönci református lelkészről Károlyi (Károli) Bibliának is nevezett mű a magyar kereszténység, nyelvőrzés, teológia- és művelődéstörténet felbecsülhetetlen kincse.

The first complete Hungarian Bible-translation - called Bible of Vizsoly - is 425 years old.
Marking this anniversary, the Magyar Nemzeti Bank issued a collector coin in three denominations: gold coins of HUF 50,000 and HUF 5,000 and a HUF 2,000 copper-alloy version.
The coin was designed by Andrea Horváth and features the Calvinist Church of Vizsoly on the front and the initial “V” in the style of the Vizsoly Bible on the back.
This work, referred to both as the Vizsoly Bible after the place of printing and the Károlyi (or Károli) Bible after the Calvinist pastor who oversaw the translation, is an invaluable treasure of Hungarian Christianity, language, theology and culture.
